Southern yellow-billed hornbill (Tockus leucomelas) on the ground. This hornbill feeds mainly on the ground, where it forages for seeds, small insects, spiders, scorpions, termites and ants. It is commonly found in the dry thorn fields and broad-leafed woodlands of southern Africa. Photographed in the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, Kalahari Desert, South Africa.
