Soliders take part in the Synthetic Training Environment - Information System (STE-IS) Soldier Touch Point 2B in Orlando, Fla., march 29-31. The event was sponsored by the Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation and the Army's Synthetic Training Environment Cross Functional Team. STE-IS is comprised of the Training Simulation Software (TSS), the Training Management Tool (TMT) and One World Terrain (OWT), all of which were capabilities integrated onto the Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer (RVCT) at STP 2B. During the touch point, Soldiers successfully executed vignettes designed to obtain user feedback to drive the software design process and inform future software releases. Soldier Touch Points engage the Soldier early and often throughout the prototype process to ensure programs and solutions arrive at the point of need ready for use. The Synthetic Training Environment enhances Soldier readiness with innovative, realistic simulation training.
