Revellers pass through the Apotheosis Square by famous Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer at the end of their Sambadrome parade. The most prestigious Samba schools paraded in the Sambadrome, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on February 12th. Held every year, Rio de Janeiro's Carnival, Brazil, is considered the biggest in the world, with around two million people in the streets every day. The official carnival parade in the Rio de Janeiro's sambodrome in 2024 paid tribute to indigenous peoples and Afro-Brazilian culture with floats evoking Brazil's slavery heritage.
