As an ' Extra Early ' for the market gardener we can recommend this variety very highly ; and the beautiful dark green color of the pods adds greatly to their selling quality. This variety of blue-seeded peas is distinct, and pro- produces its handsome pods in pairs. It is an early variety and can be planted very early in the Spring. It is also a good variety for making repeated sowings for succession. The vines which grow from 3 to 4 feet high, are very thrifty and good bearers. The pods are dark green, large, curved and very broad, always well filled with large peas. The quality is all that could be desired, being sweet and tender ; the large size and handsome green color of the pods make it a good variety for market pur- poses, bringing higher prices than other less attractive sorts.
