The state of South Australia charges a 10c deposit on all drink containers so they are profitable for people to collect and recycle. This is a camping / caravan area where the owners make a significant yearly income from providing people with a collection point and then delivering the cans and bottles to the recyclers. Roads and beaches are significantly cleaner than in the other states that do not have this scheme.
