aqueduct in Arkadia Park, Gmina Nieborow, Lowicz County, Lodz Voivodeship, Poland

The aqueduct was raised in 1784 over the water cascade. The construction based on the architecture of Roman aqueducts has the function of joining the Łupia river banks at the mouth of rhe great pond. The original design of the Aqueduct dated 1784 and signed by Szymon Bogumił Zug has been preserved. Some additions to the original design of this unique park were made by Henryk Ittar in the year 1800. After 1864 the next heir of the property has pulled down the Aqueduct. It is only in the year 1951 that a well known park designer Gerard Ciołek reconstructed the park and the whole water system of Arcadia.
