NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 14, 2019) Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Antoiwauna Southern, from Canton, Mississippi, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) deck department, receives the Warrior of the Week award for outstanding performance from Capt. John J. Cummings, Ford's commanding officer and Comm and Master Chief De’Andre Beaufort during an all-hands call in the ship's hangar bay. Ford is currently undergoing its post-shakedown availability at Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding.
