An Italian sword with cut iron hilt,circa 1560/70 Double-edged,flatly ridged blade,the ricasso stamped "MZ" under a crown on both sides. The short groove etched with "DE FRANCISCO ZUIZ EN TOLEDO". Finely cut and open-work iron hilt(loosened,slightly curved up at the ricasso)with pas d'*ne on the reverse side. Iron wire grip traversed by silver and with Turkïs heads. Openwork and cut en suite iron pommel. Length cm.
