A German suit of armour, assembled from old pieces, circa 1600. Unmarked burgonet. The skull, made of two pieces has a narrow comb. Riveted peak and neck protector with turned under edges. Hinged cheek pieces with five perforations. The collection number "144" stamped on one of the cheek pieces. The gorget opening on a hinge has a neck guard of one lame with turned under and corded rims. The pauldrons sliding on eight lames, the two upper lames do not belong. Heavy ridged breastplate with a small tapul and heavy neck guards. An Augsburg proof mark (Pyr) stamped,
