In pursuance of the ordinance adopted by theHuron convention an election for delegates to theconstitutional convention was held throug-hout thatpart of Dakota territory south of the forty-sixth par-allel of latitude in which deep interest was takenand the delegates thus elected assembled at SiouxFalls on September 4th, 1883.
