The pattern on the upper half of the strip consists of two rows of loose motifs, each time twice a configuration of four circles, alternated by a flower with four pointed oval petals. Well below the center line of the strip, the repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of a continuous scalloped decorative frame, which forms a kind of cartouches with the linked stylized leaves and flowers along the underside of the strip.
