An Iron Soldier assigned to the 1st Armored Division fires his M9 pistol during the small arms competition held at McGregor Range, New Mexico Aug 20 as part of Torch Week. The competition allowed competitors to test their small arms proficiency in the spirit of friendly competition. The event also aimed at developing marksmanship skills thereby increasing the operational effectiveness of Soldiers across the division. The 1st Armored Division conducts Torch Week each year to promote unit cohesion and enhance esprit de corps across the division.
