There are various methods of preparing the single-eye cuttings, some of which are represented in fig, 2, Among our cultivated fruits there is but a limited num- ber that need to be propagated by cuttings, though, where it becomes necessary, many of them may be grown in this manner, to which procedure there are no serious objec- tions, though there are some of a theoretical nature. The currant and the gooseberry are increased almost exclusively.
