Partial solar eclipse on Monday afternoon, August 21, 2017 as the moon advanced toward almost complete coverage of the sun viewed from Atlanta, Georgia. At peak coverage only a mall sliver of light would be visible at the bottom of the eclipse from the Atlanta area which was in the penumbra of the eclipse path.
