A swathe of white granite mixes between patches of snow Tussock on the Main Range, Kosciusko National Park, NSW Australia

On the Eastern Side of a ridge near Headley Tarn lies this field of strewn boulders. The most striking thing about them is they're so glaringly white. Usually thy would be covered with lichen, but they make a fascinating horizontal band of white btween the green tusock and the misty ridges beyond.
