An Italian half-armour, circa 1600 Assembled from a Northern Italian morion of the Spanish type circa 1580, the slanting brim with struck arsenal mark of the Barberini. Collar, pauldrons and arm defences also end of the 16th century, the front spaulders with marks, distinctly ridged breastplate from the second half of the 17th century, with "GL" mark under the flange and a crowned "CR" mark on the upper left side of the breast, as well as a backplate, end of the 16th century.
