PACIFIC OCEAN (April 4, 2017) Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Austin Snow, from Bettendorf, Iowa, and Chief Gunner's Mate Trayvon T. Turner, from Long Beach, Calif., participate in a live-fire exercise aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) while underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
