Buildings of the Senate and the Synod — an architecture monument — the buildings in style of late classicism located at the Senate Square in St. Petersburg. Are built in 1829-1834. Are connected by the triumphal arch thrown over Galernaya Street. From 1925 to 2006 in building there was the Russian Public historical archive. In one wing of the building since May, 2008 the main divisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation are placed. In other wing of the building since May, 2009 the Presidential library of B. N. Yeltsin is placed
