Basalleaves elongated-oblong or linear-oblong, obtuse oracute, long-petioled, crenate-dentate, 3-6 long,3-i2 wide, at first tomentose, at length nearlyglabrous; stem leaves several, deeply pinnatifid, orthe lower lyrate, the uppermost very small; headsvery numerous, 4-5 broad, about 22 high, slen-der-peduncled, forming large corymbs; rays 8-10;achenes hispidulous; pappus white.
