Having fenced off an area of woodland called the Spinney in Aylesbury earlier this week, last night tree surgeons working for HS2 Ltd were felling trees into the early hours this morning. They were doing this right next to the existing railway with the potential to cause an accident as trains were still passing by next to the felling. HS2 Ltd have been unable to provide a copy of a wildlife licence from Natural England allowing them to fell in this area.
