Among themammals collected were a Tibetan bear, a species which many peopleregard as the most dangerous of the jungle mammals of Siam, anda binturong, a large aberrant cat with a prehensile tail. A large series of fresh-water and marine fishes, assembled by thewriter, was presented to the National Museum by the Siamese Depart-ment of Fisheries. This collection includes genera and species notpreviously represented in the Museum, and serves to show the
