Shot of the Mansion at Beckenham Place Park, with the car park infront deserted and covered in snow. Beckenham Place Mansion was built by a wealthy landowner, in the 1770's. It is now used as the golf club house and park information centre. Beckenham Place Park is the largest green space in the borough of Lewisham, covering 96 hectares, with large areas of ancient woodland ideal for informal woodland walks. The park is an important wildlife site and it also makes up part of the South East London Green Chain Walk and the regional Capital Ring. It also contains a 18 hole municipal pay and play golf course. The mansion house (a Grade II listed building) currently houses the golf clubhouse and a small cafe.
