Minister of Defence Mariusz Blaszczak lays flowers at the historic Gate no. 2 of Gdansk August Agreements were a symbolic beginning of the Solidarity Trade Union. They ended the wave of workers' strikes in 1980 and contributed to the increasing role of Lech Walesa and the fall of communism in Poland in 1989.
