A German hunting sword, circa 1650. A double-edged blade, heavily ridged at the back on both sides with (worn) etched hunting inscriptions and depictions of animals. Chiselled iron hilt with perforated guard plate. Both sides of the grip, quillons, and knucklebow are set with staghorn plates and the obverse side decorated with hemispherical iron rivets.
