An idol of Dipankara Buddha is assembled to be worshiped during a Samyak Mahadan festival. Samyak Mahadan festival, occurs once in Five years at Lalitpur, Nepal. This festival displays various large idols of Dipankara Buddha. Devotees from all walks of life give away different types of gifts including money and food to the deities, their keepers, monks and the Buddhist communities. The first Samyak Mahadan is said to have taken place in Nepal Sambat in (1015 AD).
