Park General San Martin, on the western margins of Mendoza, was constructed in 1896 as a healthy air 'lung of the city' of environment after the diphtheria, cholera and measles epidemics associated with the disastrous earthquake of park has 34 sculptures, including these two horse statues near the main entrance gates.
