Limestone Corner on Hadrian's Wall

Limestone Corner on Teppermoor Hill is the most northerly point on the route of Hadrian's Wall, this image shows a section of the wall ditch in this location that the Romans did not complete. The image here shows large excavated stones and boulders still in place in and around the wall ditch. Although traditionally called Limestone Corner the rock in this location is volcanic quartz-dolerite whinstone.
