The Hayachine Kagura dance performance at the Hayachine Jinja Shrine in Iwate Japan Asia


Every August, kagura, the traditional dance performance is played at the Hayachine Jinja. It is called "hayachine Kagura" which was named after the nearby mountains, Mt. Hayachine. The Fast-paced local performing art is believed to have been started by the followers of the mountain religion of "Sangaku Shinko."
