HMS Ocean sails into Plymouth, Devon, for the very last time as a serving Royal Navy vessel.

HMS Ocean has sailed into Plymouth for the very last time as a serving Royal Navy vessel. The Royal Navy’s Fleet Flagship, which is due to be sold to Brazil, entered Devonport Naval Base for the last time under a White Ensign before decommission later this year. The decks of HMS Ocean were lined by the ship’s company in dress uniforms, with the traditional decommissioning pennant flying and accompanying tugs firing water hoses into the air. HMS Ocean has been used to effectively transport Royal Marines to trouble spots around the world and has been in service for 20 years.
