Ornamental cartouche with a text in which by the states of Holland and West Friesland, in accordance with the patent of the States General (RP-P-AO-10-7-1), a patent of the Dijkgraaf and high-quality councils of Rijnland 25 years is granted for the manufacture and issuing a map of the Rhineland Water Board. For the second edition of the card (1687, the first edition appeared in 1647), this cartouche was specially designed by Romeyn de Hooghe.
