Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, who delivered the Friday sermon at the Jamia Masjid on Friday, Before Clashes erupted between protesters and the Government forces in the old city area of Srinagar Immediately after the Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid at Nowhatta in the old city area, youths who tried to take out a march were barred by the the forces leading to pitched stone masrat Alam and hundreds of youths detained without any reason on Friday morning ahead of a proposed rally in south Kashmir’s Tral, a day after he and another separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani was placed under house arrest for allegedly raising anti-national slogans during a rally in Srinagar where Pakistan flags were also had planned the Friday rally in Tral, 40 km south of Srinagar, where a civilian was killed in firing by security forces three days ago.©Sofi Suhail/Alamy Live News
