This movementoriginated in the year 1879, when a Cadet Corps attached to Anna Post, No. 94, G. A. R., at Philadelphia (organized the precedingyear), was constituted Anna M. Ross Camp, No. i, Sons of V^ existing cadet organizations affiliated with local posts soon adoptedthe new title and the obligations of the order. In the meantime similarmovements have gained strength in Pittsburgh and elsewhere,
