World War One British recruiting and propaganda poster urging men to join the army and help stop German air raids. The poster shows a zeppelin over London caught in a searchlight as it carries out a night raid near St Paul’s Cathedral and the Houses of Parliament. The text includes the message “It is far better to face the bullets than to be killed at home by a bomb”. The poster was issued by the Publicity Department of the Central Recruiting Depot, Whitehall, in 1915. Artist unknown.
