Marketing Without Money- Children's Clothing Exchange, Norwood, England, UK, 1943 On fine days, the 'Make-Do-and-Mend' work party of the Norwood Exchange hold their weekly meeting in the garden of the head of the Exchange, Mrs Jenkins. Here, they repair and re-work clothing which has been brought into the Exchange, creating new from old. According to the original caption, this includes elbowless jumpers being unravelled and re-knitted and a pair of men's trousers being transformed into a small girl's suit.
