The under side ofthe body is, however, shorter^ less elongated, withthe third ray of the ventral fin longer; the anal fiasmaller than the dors^. The caudal fin lunulated,with the lower lobe/ longer. Scales over all thebody, along the lateral line, and mi each side of theabdomen. Eyes la;rge, situated atVhe summit of thehead, and near the extremity of the^iouth. Mouthtransverse, and rather large.
