The 53-year-old former Ultravox singer and Live Aid legend received an honorary doctorate from the University of Paisley at Troon Town Hall Midge, who was born in Cambuslang, was made an honorary Doctor of Music by Edinburgh University in 2006 and a Doctor of Arts by Abertay University in 2005.
