In 1889 he was elected tothe Professorship of Physiology inChaddoek College, Quincy, 111.,which position he filled for one then went East, taking a post-graduate course in the Xew York Polyclinic, making surgery and clin-ical microscopy a specialty. In 1891 he located in St. Louis,and being well and favorably known,soon accpiired a practice that in-creased with great rapidity.
