Our experience has demonstrated thattraction hauling is from 50 to 75 per cent,cheaper than team hauling. The main rea-son for this, in our opinion, does not restwith the rate at which the work pro-ceeds as affected by the contractorscredit and available cash, or by the rela-tive cost of work done in a leisurely wayas compared with that done on overtimeand in a rush, but by the lack of themost effective equipment to offset thechronic shortage of men. is less than half; so there is no argumentin favor of the team outfit.
