London, UK, 8 November 2014. Thousands of visitors arrive at dawn at the Tower of London to see, ceramic artist, Paul Cummins' art installation, "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red". The work recognises 100 years since the first full day of Britain’s involvement in the First World War and each of the 888,246 poppies represents a British or Colonial military fatality during the war. The last poppy will be symbolically planted on 11 November 2014, Armistice Day. Pictured: the dawn sun creates a shaft of light across the poppies. Credit: Stephen Chung/Alamy Live News
