An Illyrian helmet, 6th century Bronze. Helmet with a particularly high skull and heavily pronounced crest base. Raised lines and an attachment hole above the rectangular face cutout. Pointed cutouts on the sides between the long extended cheek pieces with chinstrap holes and the shallow sloping neck guard, which has three holes. Surrounded by a heavy raised border with lentil-headed, decorative rivets. Height cm. Weight 1020 g. Reddish-brown to green patina with the metal surface visible in places.
