Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cell, coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM). ALL is a rare cancer where excess white blood cell precursors called lymphoblasts form in the bone marrow. It affects children and adults, and is the most common form of leukaemia in children. Treatment is with chemotherapy to rid the bone marrow of all cancerous cells.
