It was his am-bition to stay in the army. He was takensick in the middle of September, 1918,and after an illness of one week, passedaway. Lieutenant Henshaw was marriedon June I, 1912, to Miss Elaine Joynsonof Granville, 111., who, with his parents,Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Henshaw of Peru, 111.,survive him. His Lieutenant Hill was born in Seattle,Wash., on August 13, 1894. He waseducated in the public schools of Chi-cago, graduating from Hyde Park HighSchool in 1913 and from Armour In-stitute of Technology in 1916. He thenentered the employ of the Fred S. JamesCompany of Chicago as an engineer. Asa lifeguard for Chicago beaches, he wascredited with having rescued thirty-fivepeople while on duty. He was admittedto the First Officers Training receipt of his commission he wasordered to Fort Leavenworth, Kans., forfurther study in engineering. He sailedfor France with the Eighty-fifth Division inJuly, 1918. He was then ordered toRussia, reporting
