Blackwood (Acacia Melanoxylon) has a proper name which translates literally to its common name melano xylon - black wood. Common in woodlands.


Blackwood trees are very common in the woodlands of Victoria - their creamy flowers in Spring aren't as spectacular as other wattles - but still very pretty.
