Olympic Stadium, OlympiaStadion - a monumental Nazi-era Stadium built for the 1936 Olympic Games in Westend, Berlin by Architect Werner March. Berlin's Olympiastadion and Glockenturm (Olympic Stadium and Bell Tower) were part of a sports complex that included the Olympiastadion, the Maifeld (Mayfield) and the Waldbühne amphitheater as well as buildings and facilities for sports such as football, swimming, equestrian events, and field hockey. Adolf Hitler ordered the construction of this sporting complex and called it the "Reichssportfeld". The Architect was Werner March assisted by his brother Walter.
