Navlet Co. has one of its windows filled with gladiolus blooms. The purchaser of bulbs can then select the flower that appeals most to him and purchase accordingly. The other win- dow is at present given up to dahlias. Arthur Cowdray, the designer, has ar- ranged a frame, with white tissue pajier where the picture should be. An espe- cially fine dahlia is placed close to this and a strong electric light behind the tissue paper gives the effect of a paint- ing. All the dahlias on display have been raised from hybridized seed, planted in February of this year. M. M. SEATTLE, WASH.
