A German military wheellock carbine, circa 1640. The round barrel, with a cannon muzzle and smooth bore in 19 mm calibre, is from another piece. A scepter mark stamped twice on the breech. Wheel lock with an exterior safety lever, one screw is a replacement. Blackened walnut stock with simple iron furniture. Repairs around the tang, forearm with small replacements and restorations.
