Great War German Machine Gun Team with Maxims Spandau water cooled MG 08/15 first used in April 1917


The German Army's standard machine gun during the Great War based on Hiram Maxim's origiginal 1884 design. It used 250-round fabric belts to achieve a maximum firing rate of 400 rounds per minute through a water-cooled barrel. Manufactured at Spandau.
