Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900), a portrait bust by Friedrich Rogge 1943 Bronze with dark patina, the larger-than-life portrayal signed at the nape " Rogge", the plinth with foundry stamp "Lenz". Height ca. 53 cm. This bust and the following death mask were made for the Nietzsche memorial, which was planned in Weimar and was to house the Nietzsche archive. Dr. Johannes Friedrich Rogge (1898 - 1983) first studied sciences before dedicating himself to the fine arts from 1922 onwards.
