NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (May 24, 2022) – A spouse from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) learns to drive manual transmission during a class created by Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 60 at Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, May 24, 2022. Based on findings from a focus group, DESRON 60 created the class to teach spouses how to drive manual transmission and improve opportunities to find affordable vehicles during their tour.
