NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Jan. 5, 2017) – Aviation Support Equipment Technician 3rd Class Jonathan Lopez, assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), is frocked to the rank of petty officer third class by Aviation Support Equipment Technician 1st Class Jason Chavez and Aviation Support Equipment Technician 1st Class Aaron Arreola during a frocking ceremony at Huntington Hall. More than 170 Ford Sailors advanced from the September Navy-wide advancement exam.
